With Linda’s husband the latest taken by Lord Gŏeth the
Mothers have gathered at the Castle to support her pleas. 
The Sub-Wave resistance arrive to encourage an attack. 
Then young Alex Brown takes matters into his own hands.

Scene 2:  At the park
Our young couple, Peter Taylor and Kate Anderson, are in
the park where Peter is affectionately listening to Kate
telling about her friends.
Cabbages and Kings - Peter 
Scene 3:  Taylor House
Peter arrives home with Kate to find their Mothers
distraught by events. 
sub-scene:  Kate’s Bedroom (flashback)
Kate finally hears how Lord Gŏeth took her father all those
years ago.

Inspired, Sally suggests they form a protest group.

Scene 4:  Parliament
The Mothers take their protest to Parliament.  Just as they
gain attention their protest is interrupted by Lord Gŏeth who
makes his fateful demand.

Scene 5:  Fenland House / PM’s Office
One month later a family watch the Prime Minister’s TV
broadcast about the selection of the first monthly Official
Government Sacrifice.
Scene 6:  PM’s Office
The Matriarchy meet to discuss how recent events have
impacted on their business profits.

Scene 7:  House / Bedroom / Castle
Time passes but the wounds of loss do not heal.

Running Order Act 2  (45 mins)
Scene 1:  TV Studio
At the TV studio Bill Taylor is setting up for Darin’s
Lottery Show which, at the PM’s instigation, has
evolved into “DO or DIE!”

Scene 2:  Inside/Outside PM’s Office 
Over the following months the Prime Minister comes
to sense the vast opportunities from controlling both
Victim selection and the Lottery.  As she calls a
sudden press conference to up the stakes the
Mothers arrive once again to demand for the PM to
negotiate Kate’s release.

Scene 3:  Castle / Taylor House
Peter has gone to the Castle gates in the hope that
Kate will hear that the Mothers protest no longer -
now they’re going to take some real action for her
release.  Meanwhile the Mothers gather for action at
Ruth’s house.

Scene 4:  TV Studio
The lottery jackpot on “DO or DIE!” is bigger than
ever, then the PM plays an evil trick to spite the
Mothers.
Pride Regained - Chorus
Scene 5:  Outside Lord Gŏeth’s Castle
Fired up and ready for almost anything the mob lead
by Bill and Peter arrive at the Castle to rescue Kate.
The Price We All Must Pay - Janet, Chorus
Utterly engrossing, highly emotional and wonderfully heart-rending
this musical holds an audience to its shocking yet uplifting denouement
